Lakers sign guard Quinndary Weatherspoon

With the 2023-24 preseason nearing its end, the Lakers have made another minor roster move.

The start of the Los Angeles Lakers’ 2023-24 regular season is five days away, and things are ramping up in anticipation of what they’re hoping will be a triumphant year.

The team is gearing up by whittling its roster and rotations ahead of its final preseason game on Thursday versus the Phoenix Suns. It recently waived guard Scotty Pippen Jr, guard Damion Baugh and forward Vincent Valerio-Bodon. On Wednesday, it brought in forward Louis King.

On Thursday, the Lakers made another minor roster move, signing Quinndary Weatherspoon, a 6-foot-3 guard who was a second-round draft pick in 2019.

Weatherspoon has played for two NBA teams, including the 2021-22 world champion Golden State Warriors, and he also spent some time in the G League that season with the Santa Cruz Warriors.
