The Los Angeles Lakers have a new trio taking the floor this season, and the two playmakers will be imperative.
LeBron James and Russell Westbrook are two ball-dominant players who need the ball most of the time to be at their best, so balancing their workloads will be crucial.
A key aspect of it will come down to sacrificing. Westbrook has usually been the key ball-handler for teams he’s been on since he’s not a great off-ball shooter, but he’ll have to take a slight step back and let James and Anthony Davis run the show at times.
But L.A. also acquired Westbrook to relieve James’ workload, so striking the middle line has is essential.
Lakers assistant coach Phil Handy is confident the two stars will figure it out, via Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson of Bally Sports:

The success for the Lakers could very well come down to how the two stars mesh throughout the year. If the spacing concerns can be resolved, L.A. should make noise.
