The Los Angeles Lakers are in a position they haven’t been in all season, losers of three straight games heading into the Christmas holiday. They were without LeBron James in their last loss and Anthony Davis played but looked banged up after the fact. As it stands, heading into their Christmas Day showdown, the two stars are still up in the air to play.
James and Davis are both considered questionable for their Christmas Day game against Kawhi Leonard, Paul George and L.A. Clippers, according to the team.
LeBron missed his first game all season in Sunday night’s loss to the Denver Nuggets and Davis has missed two games so far this season, most recently last week’s loss to the Indiana Pacers in Indianapolis. Davis is the leading scorer and James is their second-leading scorer in addition to the NBA’s leader in assists per game.
While the Lakers have the star duo listed as questionable, given the stage and the opponent, it would be hard to see a scenario in which both players don’t show up.
