Los Angeles Lakers guard Alex Caruso has been arrested in Texas for marijuana possession.
According to Brazos County Texas Jail, Caruso was arrested Tuesday night by Texas A&M Tuesday night.
According to Brazos County records, Caruso has been released after paying a $3,000 bond and a fine of $552.
Caruso attended college at Texas A&M from 2012 to 2016. The Lakers are currently in the offseason after the Phoenix Suns won in the first-round matchup between the two sides.
Marijuana is illegal for recreational use in Texas. Had he been in California, where marijuana has been legalized, this wouldn’t have happened.
Caruso is a free agent this offseason as his two-year contract will expire.
Update: Here’s Proof of Alex Caruso Charges Tonight. He’s Already Been Released On Bond.
