Lakers’ LeBron James wants Alex Caruso’s new No. 6 Bulls jersey

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James wants his own version of Alex Caruso’s new No. 6 jersey with the Chicago Bulls.

Among the many free agents the Los Angeles Lakers didn’t retain in free agency, Alex Caruso may have been the biggest loss.

Caruso didn’t post the flashiest numbers in the box score every night, but he made the key defensive plays whenever the team called his number, and he fit smoothly alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis in closing lineups.

The Chicago Bulls signed Caruso to a four-year deal worth over $37 million, a price the Lakers reportedly didn’t want to match, though general manager Rob Pelinka said the team made an aggressive attempt to re-sign him.

The 27-year-old guard will don the No. 6 jersey for the Bulls, and James want his own version of the jersey, he said in an Instagram comment under Caruso’s post:

James wrote:

“My twin I need that 🐐 6 jersey ASAP!”

Both players will wear the same number for different teams. James made the switch from No. 23 to No. 6 this summer.

Caruso makes his highly anticipated return to STAPLES Center on Nov. 15 at 7:30 p.m. PT.
