Lakers’ LeBron James says he slept for 12 hours before playing vs. Magic

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James revealed the key to his big game against the Orlando Magic.

The Los Angeles Lakers won against the Orlando Magic, 106-94, and LeBron James was the key to victory.

James dropped a 30-point, 11-rebound and 10-assist triple-double while adding three big blocks, making it his sixth 30-point game in his last eight contests and two triple-doubles in his last three appearances.

The soon-to-be 37-year-old forward played with tremendous energy throughout, from helping build a 25-point lead to sustaining it during Orlando’s fourth-quarter comeback.

James revealed after the win how he had the energy to go off the way he did.

“Sleep,” James said. “…I got some more sleep today and was able to come in with some energy and put it on the floor.”

James detailed how many hours he slept specifically.

“I slept last night from 12 (a.m.) to 8 (a.m.), I got up, ate breakfast, then went back to sleep from 8:30 (a.m.) to 12 (p.m.),” James said. “That’s pretty good, right?”

Twelve hours of sleep certainly helped the star forward dominate on both ends of the floor without Anthony Davis, who missed the game due to knee soreness.

James and the Lakers have two days of rest before heading to Texas to play the Dallas Mavericks.
