Lakers free agency: Danny Green available in trade talks to interested teams

Los Angeles Lakers guard Danny Green, who signed a 2-year deal last summer, could be on the move after winning his 3rd championship.

The Los Angeles Lakers are projected to be pretty busy this offseason with a lot of free agents coming off the books and 29 other teams looking to knock them off top spot in the NBA. With a shorter offseason, adding more talent to help win games earlier in the season maybe even more important. So what are the Lakers going to do to improve?

One way would be trying to make a trade of some of their current role players for some new blood. One trade chip that could help the Lakers get better this offseason is shooting guard Danny Green. Green is slated to make $15.3 million next season and he is someone the Lakers are willing to discuss, according to SNY’s Ian Begley.

Something to keep an eye on: per sources, the Lakers will discuss Danny Green trades with teams that have interest. It’s unclear if the Knicks would consider taking on Green’s deal, but they would have the cap space to absorb it f they decline the options they have on some of their veteran players,

The NBA trade moratorium is expected to be lifted on Monday.
