And while there have been rumors for weeks now about once would-be Lakers coach and current Clippers assistant Ty Lue having the interest of Kyrie Irving, the Nets have interest in far more than just the former Cavaliers championship coach.

Vaughn, who was the former coach of the Orlando Magic, it should be said coached the Nets to a couple of nice wins before the NBA hiatus, including a road win against the Los Angeles Lakers. Vaughn may have the continuity advantage but that didn’t save Atkinson. It looks like the Nets are looking for an experienced head coach with considerable court among their two stars, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant.
