The Los Angeles Lakers have been in the bubble for six weeks at this point and one of the ways in which they’ve spent their time together has been their team Madden tournament. They have been at it for several weeks and now the “Super Bowl” of the team tournament is set, between Markieff Morris and Quinn Cook, as documented by LeBron James on his Instagram.
As someone who had a Madden tournament with his best friends during the early days of quarantine, I can clearly understand the necessity of having something to kill time when you have nothing but practice, time, and a few games. Also, with the Lakers closing in on advancing, they will soon be able to be joined by their families after being isolated for over a month.
Anthony Davis is reportedly a big-time Madden guy but he didn’t make the final 4. Dion Waiters and LeBron James were the semifinalists who didn’t quite make it to the Super Bowl.
