The Los Angeles Lakers have started their title defense by going 10-0 on the road to begin the season. With it being understood that the road is a little different than it used to be, LeBron James and the Lakers have been racking up wins, even in markets like Memphis, Houston, and Cleveland, who have fans in the stands. The 10-0 start is not only a great sign of dominance this season, but it’s also historically a good sign that the Lakers will return to the NBA Finals.
According to the crack researchers at ESPN’s Stats and Info, the Lakers became just the 6th team in NBA history to start 10-0 on the road, with four of the five previous teams who have done that going to the NBA Finals that same season.
