The Kentucky basketball alumni team, La Familia, has played very well so far in The Basketball Tournement, and on Tuesday night, they did so again. The former Wildcats handily defeated Herd That, a Marshall alumni team 95 – 66 to advance to the quarterfinals.
La Familia led by single digits at halftime, but got hot in the second half and pulled away for the 29-point victory. They won the game via the “Elam Ending”.

Eric Bledsoe led the way for the former Cats with 24 points. Kerem Kanter added 20 points and 8 rebounds. Aaron Harrison, Andrew Harrison, and Nate Sestina all had 11 points in the win.
Next up, La Familia could face the Louisville alumni team, The Ville, continuing the rivalry between the two schools if they beat Team DRC.
La Familia is now three wins away from winning TBT and the million dollar prize that goes with it. Big Blue Nation certainly supports them, and is rooting for them.
