Kyrie Irving surprised everyone when cameras in the Celtics arena caught him burning sage as part of his pregame routine.
It was absolutely hilarious. Not only was he burning sage, but he was also doing it in someone else’s home. For those who don’t know, burning sage is a long held ritual undertaken to cleanse a space of negative energy and bad spirits.
But don’t worry, Celtics fans. Kyrie isn’t saying it’s just your team with bad vibes. When he was asked about his new pre-game ritual, he said he does this at his own home and, on top of that, he said he plans on burning sage on every NBA court this season if he’s allowed to.

Kevin Durant can confirm that Irving does this all the time.
Kevin Durant on Kyrie Irving saging the arena before the game: "That's his thing. Kyrie probably sages his room before he plays 2K at home."
