Having already taken part in at least one Black Lives Matter protest and furthering the conversation with other players around the NBA, Kyrie Irving is doing more to help the movement maintain its momentum.
The Brooklyn Nets point guard is producing a TV special on the PlayersTv digital and broadcast network that is “calling for action following the death of Breonna Taylor,” per the Associated Press. The title of the special is “#SAYHERNAME: BREONNA TAYLOR.”
Among those who will be featured on the special are the co-founder of Black Lives Matter Alicia Garza, United States Representative for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Ayanna Pressley and Jemele Hill of The Atlantic. Common, who Brooklyn fans have seen in Nets commercials, has also been linked to the project, per the Associated Press.
