Kyrie Irving is set to make his return to the court on Saturday after suffering a facial contusion on Tuesday versus the Chicago Bulls. This means that the Big Three of Irving, Kevin Durant and James Harden is finally reunited to play just the eighth game of the season together.
Steve Nash confirmed during Friday’s media availability that the Nets’ plan is for the three superstars to take the court together on Saturday when the Nets play host to those same Bulls at 1 p.m. EDT.
“I think tomorrow will be the day,” Nash said.
The last time Irving, Durant and Harden played together was on Feb. 13. Now here we are, three months later. The timing of Irving’s return couldn’t be better, with only two games remaining on the Nets’ regular season schedule and the playoffs beginning May 22.
The Nets close the regular season against the visiting Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday at 7 p.m. EDT.
