The second returns of the fan vote for the 2020 NBA All-Star game are in, and there’s been a slight change as it pertains to the Brooklyn Nets.
Spencer Dinwiddie is no longer among the top-10 Eastern Conference guards in votes received.
Kyrie Irving, however, is still in second place among all Eastern Conference guards. He now trails Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young by just over 40,000 votes. Even if he doesn’t pass Young, Irving is still in line to be voted in as a starter for this year’s All-Star game, even though he hasn’t played since November 14.
But Irving doesn’t see his lack of games played as a problem. He explained why after the Nets practiced on Thursday.
I think I’ve put in a lot of work in this league to be up there whether I’m playing or not. And if you want to see an All-Star game, I’d vote for myself as well.
