Kyrie Irving has point about his interaction with Boston fans, but he’ll probably get fined anyway

He does have a point here.

Kyrie Irving didn’t hold back or deny anything when it came to the way he interacted with Boston Celtics fans in Game 1 of the Brooklyn Nets’ 2022 playoff series that including the superstar guard flipping off the crowd a couple of times.

After Jayson Tatum’s buzzer-beater won it for the Celtics, Irving was asked about the interactions with fans, and he delivered an honest answer: If he’s going to hear some awful things from die-hards, he’s going to give “the same energy” right back even when NBA players are expected to ignore it.

“[If] somebody’s going to call me out of my name, I’m going to look at them straight in the eye and see if they’re really ’bout it,” he concluded. “Most of the time they’re not.”

All of that said, it’s probably going to cost him some money with a fine from the league,
