Kyrie Irving fined $25K by NBA for violating media access rules

During NBA Media Week, Kyrie Irving elected to release a statement through a spokesperson rather than address reporters over Zoom.
Some thought this was Irving’s way of saying he wouldn’t talk to reporters this season, but one report indicates that will not be the case.
Regardless of how Irving plans to handle things in the future, his decision during media week resulted in a $25,000 fine from the NBA for “violating league rules governing media interview access”.
The NBA also added in the announcement of the fine.
The fines result from Irving’s refusal on several occasions this week to participate in team media availability, The NBA said in a statement
