Kyler Murray responds to ‘nonsense,’ vows growth and improvement

Murray breaks his silence since the controversy with his Instagram account and comments that basically say he needs to grow up.

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray has been in the new for all the wrong reasons.

He deleted almost all his posts on Instagram, leading to speculation about his being unhappy with his contract status.

There is a report that he feels like he is being blamed for the team’s second-half and playoff collapse and that the team feels he essentially needs to grow up.

He reportedly pulled himself from the Cardinals’ 34-11 playoff loss in the final minute of the game.

He is being painted as immature.

He had previously been silent.

He finally responded on social media on Monday on Twitter.

He shared this statement:

“I play this game for the love of it, my teammates, everyone who has helped me get to this position that believed in me & to win championships. All of this nonsense is not what I am about, never has been, never will be. Anyone who has ever stepped between those lines with me knows how hard I go.

“Love me or hate me but I’m going to continue to grow and get better.”

The reports coming out don’t seem to match what his teammates publicly and privately have said about him.

This is a lot of noise right now. It’s not what Cardinals fans like hearing, but this will ultimately pass and we will see Murray getting better and being one of the greatest ever to play the position for the franchise.
