Kyler Murray is out-pacing Lamar Jackson’s MVP Season

Through eight games, former Oklahoma QB Kyler Murray is putting up better numbers than 2019 NFL MVP Lamar Jackson did a year ago.

This season has been the Kyler Murray show in the NFL. He has dazzled fans every week with his incredible ability to make highlight-reel plays while also stuffing the stat sheet on a weekly basis.

He has won the NFC Offensive Player of the Week Honor twice this season, and is the first player in NFL history to throw for 2,000 yards and run for over 500 yards in his team’s first eight games.

Murray has received some mild MVP buzz all year long, and it is certainly warranted. To this point, he is on pace to completely eclipse the numbers that Lamar Jackson put up just one year ago in his unanimous MVP season.

Through eight games, he has more yards, more touchdowns, and a better total QBR. Pretty, pretty good.

His play even has some questioning if he isn’t simply better than the reigning MVP already, as crazy as they may sound to some.

Next up for Murray’s Cardinals is a home date with the Bills Sunday afternoon at 3:05 p.m. CT and it will be broadcast locally in Tulsa and Oklahoma City markets on CBS.
