Kyler Murray is a fan of Rams’ move to trade for Matthew Stafford

He likes how aggressive the Rams are to try and win the Super Bowl.

The NFC West might have gotten a little more difficult for the Arizona Cardinals this offseason with the trade that sent quarterback Matthew Stafford to the Los Angeles Rams. Cardinals quarterback Kyle Murray doesn’t mind, though.

He is actually a fan of the move.

“Me personally, I love it. I love the aggressiveness,” Murray said in an interview on the Jim Rome Show.

It wasn’t so much about Stafford landing with the Rams, although Murray does respect him a lot, considering he has faced him twice in two years in the league has yet to beat him. His NFL debut ended in a tie with the Lions and Stafford led Detroit to a 26-23 win over the Cardinals in Week 3 this past season.

“I love Matt Stafford,” Murray said on PFT Live. “I think he’s one of the most underrated quarterbacks in the league. . . . I love watching him, I love the way he plays. He’s a gunslinger. If you watch the game, you know he can make any throw on the field and make it look easy.”

More than anything, though, Murray appreciates the Rams’ approach right now.

“I like the fact that they are being aggressive towards winning,” he added on the Jim Rome Show. “At the end of the day, nobody cares if you are a loser. That’s how I see it.”

As a player, he wants the Cardinals to go and do the same thing. If they see a need, he wants them to go out and be aggressive to fill that need. He wants to win now. He doesn’t want to wait.

With comments like this, it is quiet pressure for the front office to do what it needs to do to put the Cardinals in the best position to win and win soon.
