The Arizona Cardinals practiced on Wednesday and there was good news. Quarterback Kyler Murray and receiver DeAndre Hopkins were both on the field for the first time to participate since the week they played the Houston Texans, according to media members in attendance for the open part of practice.
Hopkins, whose hamstring injury has kept him out of three straight games, practiced for the first time since Week 7.
Murray got limited work in Week 10 on the final day of practice, was limited all week in Week 11 and then was off with the bye.
Head coach Kliff Kingsbury said Monday he was hopeful both could play this week, but would need to wait and see how they move around in practice and whether they can handle working at full speed.
Kingsbury said after practice that both were limited Wednesday.
The first official injury report of the week will be released Wednesday afternoon.
