The Arizona Cardinals kicked off the week of practice in Week 6 with a lengthy injury report. Seven players did not practice and another four were limited, including quarterback Kyler Murray and running back Chase Edmonds.
Defensive tackle Corey Peters was the only player who sat out for rest. Receiver DeAndre Hopkins and center Rodney Hudson normally get the day off on Wednesdays but have reasons for their absence. Hopkins was out with an illness and Hudson has already been ruled out for the week. He is dealing with ribs and shoulder injuries.
Linebacker Chandler Jones also normally has Wednesdays off, but he is currently on the COVID list.
Also out on Wednesday were linebackers Jordan Hicks (toe) and Tanner Vallejo (hand), and cornerbacks Byron Murphy (ribs) and Marco Wilson (ribs).
Murray was limited with a shoulder injury. He was seen on the television broadcast of the Cardinals’ Week 5 win having his shoulder checked out, but Murray said after the game he would be fine.
Edmonds was also limited with a shoulder injury.
Tackle Kelvin Beachum (ribs) and tight end Darrell Daniels (illness), who was just activated from the COVID list, were both limited.
Linebacker Dennis Gardeck (hand) was a full participant.
