The Denver Broncos rode a five-game winning streak before losing to the Houston Texans 22-17 this past Sunday. While their record currently sits at 6-6, and in the hunt for a playoff birth, the Broncos’ offense may or may not be to blame for why results did not happen soon enough.
Kyle Sloter, who breaks down the play of NFL quarterbacks on his YouTube channel, makes a dive into that claim. Sloter looks into Wilson’s play on the field and Sean Payton’s offensive system.
While statistically, Wilson is doing well by coming in fifth in the NFL in passing touchdowns (21) and doing well with his completion percentage of 67.6 percent, Wilson isn’t necessarily taking the top off the defense. Maybe its the age of Wilson as a factor, maybe or Sean Payton’s offense is too complex. Or, the defense is catching up to the league’s offensive revolution.
Whatever the reasons may be, the former Broncos QB attempted to dive into the problem on his YouTube channel, breaking down film of Denver’s current QB. Check it out:
