Kyle Shanahan attends Warriors Game 4 win vs. Kings

Kyle Shanahan was in the building for a thrilling Warriors-Kings Game 4.

The Golden State Warriors on Sunday evened their first-round Western Conference playoff series against the Sacramento Kings with a 126-125 win at Chase Center. Among the 18,064 in attendance was 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan, who was courtside with Warriors owner Joe Lacob.

Shanahan was treated to a thrilling game that featured a 32-point performance from Warriors star Stephen Curry, 26 points from Klay Thompson, and a near monumental collapse from the home team where they nearly blew a five-point lead with 42.1 seconds remaining.

Sacramento’s Harrison Barnes missing an open three-pointer to win at the buzzer after Curry opened the door for the Kings with a miss on the previous Warriors possession.

Shanahan got a strong ovation from the Warriors’ crowd when he was shown on the scoreboard during the game.

It turns out the 49ers’ head coach is not a t-shirt guy and chose not to wear the yellow shirt handed out to every fan at the game. Given Sacramento’s proximity to San Francisco and the presence of 49ers fans in California’s capital, it’s probably smart for the head coach not to so outwardly choose a side in the NBA postseason battle between Northern California’s teams.
