Kyle Pitts and Kadarius Toney are looking good in CBS Sports’ latest NFL mock draft

For a pair of Florida football alumni—Kyle Pitts and Kadarius Toney— the prospects are looking quite good as draft day approaches.

On the hand, one never quite knows what to expect when they open up a mock draft and look for Toney’s name — usually, he makes the cut for the first round but a few mocks here and there see him dropping out. DeArdo was much more optimistic than many when it comes to the dynamic former Gators athlete who is listed as a wide receiver but can do so much more.

Round 1 – Pick 22
PROJECTED TEAM: Tennessee Titans
PROSPECT RANK: 24th
POSITION RANK: 5th

Before addressing their needs on the defensive side of the ball, the Titans address the loss of Corey Davis with the addition of Toney. While he didn’t breakout until his final season at Florida, Toney nevertheless showed his potential after catching 70 passes for 984 yards and 10 touchdowns last season. Toney finished his college career with a bang; he caught 25 passes for 443 yards and three touchdowns during his last three games. In his final college game, caught eight passes for 153 yards and a touchdown against Alabama.

A selection at No. 22 is about as good as it gets for Toney, and to be frank, whatever team gets him in the draft is going to be very happy with what his skillset brings to their franchise, so this is not some harebrained projection.

As draft day continues to creep closer, we can expect plenty of changes in the overall outlook, but Gators fans can pretty much expect to see a pair of their favorite players taken in the first round.
