Kyle O’Quinn misses COVID-19 test, will miss Sixers matchup vs. Spurs

Philadelphia 76ers big man Kyle O’Quinn misses his COVID-19 test and he will not be available against the San Antonio Spurs.

With the NBA resuming the 2019-20 season in the middle of a pandemic, the league has to take all of the necessary precautions to ensure a safe environment for everybody involved. That means lots of testing to make sure everybody is healthy and everybody is in a good state for everything that’s going on.

The Philadelphia 76ers have been healthy for the most part as they all have produced negative tests, but when one misses a test, that player has to stay away until he can get tested again.

Such as the case for veteran big man Kyle O’Quinn who missed his COVID test on Sunday and he is ineligible to play in Monday’s game against the San Antonio Spurs. He was tested on Monday and he will rejoin the team once he produces a negative test.

The Sixers did not use O’Quinn in Saturday’s opener against the Indiana Pacers, but he joins Mike Scott on the list of players already out for this game. Glenn Robinson III could join them as he is doubtful with a left hip pointer injury.

Tipoff in Orlando is set for 8:00 p.m. EST. [lawrence-related id=36055,36049,36041]
