The NASCAR Cup Series arrived at Sonoma Raceway, and much drama was involved. Tyler Reddick and Chris Buescher won the first two stages but couldn’t pull it off. Buescher tried to hold off Martin Truex Jr. but couldn’t do so with under 10 laps to go. Then, Truex was passed for the lead and ran out of gas with under one lap to go, producing a repeat winner.
[autotag]Kyle Larson[/autotag] won the 2024 Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway. Larson had the fastest car at the end of the Cup Series event with his fresher tires. Despite being in a track position deficit, the driver of the No. 5 car found a way to win his second career Sonoma race and his third victory of the 2024 NASCAR season.

Larson has made a statement by regaining the lead in the point standings despite missing the race with the most points available. The Hendrick Motorsports driver has been the best in 2024, and nothing suggests that it will change anytime soon.
