Kyle Larson talks about spinning Bubba Wallace at Busch Light Clash

Kyle Larson talks about dumping Bubba Wallace at the Busch Light Clash at The Coliseum. Find out what Larson had to say about Wallace!

[autotag]Kyle Larson[/autotag] had an opportunity to put himself into position for a victory at the Busch Light Clash at The Coliseum but could never get over the hump. Larson got up to second place but couldn’t take the lead for track position on the late-race restarts. Instead, the driver of the No. 5 car was stuck in the middle of the top 10 spots and finished in fifth place.

However, Larson did get into it with Bubba Wallace and spun him out on the last lap. As a result, Wallace finished in 12th place. Following the race, Larson spoke to SiriusXM NASCAR Radio about the incident, and while he admitted to retaliating, he didn’t mean to spin him out.

“It was just another one,” Larson said. “Listen, I got hit three different times by [Bubba Wallace], and it was the last lap, and I was going to get my hit in finally. I wasn’t trying to spin him or anything, but just shove him through the corner like he was shoving me through the corner.

“If roles were reversed, I would have expected the same thing that he got. I hope he understands that. Yeah, we’ve had our run-ins before, and I haven’t talked to him, and who knows if there’s even anything to talk about.”

The 2024 NASCAR season doesn’t have an official race under its belt yet; however, tempers have already started to flare. That is what happens when NASCAR takes its drivers to a 0.25-mile track to begin the year. It will be interesting to see if Larson and Wallace scuffle moving forward or if this will be nothing due to it being an exhibition event.
