Ben Simmons is, somehow, still a member of the Philadelphia 76ers after everything both sides went through this summer. It feels like he demanded a trade ages ago at this point.
And remember that time we saw him tank that practice? Yes, that was still this NBA season, too. It’s been a wild ride so far.
The 76ers just can’t seem to find a good suitor for Simmons at this point. So, of course, they have to sweeten the pot a bit. And they’re reportedly doing that by…throwing in…Tobias Harris, according to ESPN’s Marc Spears.
The Hawks are reportedly looking into Simmons, per Spears, and the 76ers want to include Harris in a potential package to Atlanta. But that’s tough. Not because Harris is a bad player, but because combined the two of them make about $69 million (!!!!!). That’s incredibly hard to trade so it sounds completely ridiculous.
It’s not impossible but…man, that’s a lot of money.
Kyle Kuzma caught wind of the rumor and was so confused by it just like the rest of us.
How the hell you package 80ms 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 https://t.co/b6JSM2KIut

He was reaching on the salaries a bit, sure. But he’s right! How do you package this much money and send it out?
NBA fans felt him.
