It has to be good for a young player like Dwayne Haskins to hear praise from a legend like Kurt Warner.
That’s exactly what happened for the Washington Redskins quarterback Tuesday when Warner went on a podcast and sang Haskins’ praises. Specifically, Warner said he sits in the camp that believes Haskins got better as the season continued.
“What I saw with Dwayne this year, he did improve game by game,” Warner said, according to NBC Sports’ Ethan Cadeaux. “As he got more comfortable with the NFL, as he got more comfortable with the system, he played better and better and made them more competitive each and every time out.”
Can’t argue with Warner, right?
While the box score didn’t necessarily leap off the page all the time for Haskins, his coaches said much of the same thing and teammates weren’t far behind in noting the improvements.
Provided Haskins has the full support of a new coaching staff going into next year, his upward trajectory should only remain true.
