Kurt Benkert reviews film of Broncos QB Bo Nix vs. Panthers

Former NFL quarterback Kurt Benkert broke down film of Broncos quarterback Bo Nix against the Panthers.

Bo Nix’s strong performance is turning heads and putting the rookie quarterback on the map.

Against the Carolina Panthers this past Sunday, the Denver Broncos‘ first-year quarterback had his strongest performance yet, completing 28-of-37 passes for 284 yards and three touchdowns. With his completion rate right under 76 percent, Nix looked equivalent to the record-setting college quarterback we have become accustomed to seeing during his five-year career at Auburn and Oregon.

Former NFL quarterback Kurt Benkert, who works with All-22, recently reviewed Nix’s performance against the Panthers. Benkert praised Nix for looking comfortable throwing the football. He also praised his quick release and accuracy, commenting he would love to see his “passing spray chart.”

Nix is looking like he’s fitting in Sean Payton’s offensive system, which prioritizes a quick-processing quarterback. Payton’s offense helped make Drew Brees a future Hall of Famer in New Orleans. While Nix and his Broncos have a tough matchup against the Baltimore Ravens up next, Nix’s play as of late shows he’s up for the challenge.
