The first commitment in the 2022 recruiting class was Georgia native Kris Phillips. The Spartans beat out Arizona State for the commitment oh Phillips and now, he has made it official, signing his national letter of intent.

Player Profile
Position: Offensive Line
Height/Weight: 6’4″/350 pounds
Hometown: Conyers, Georgia
High School: Salem High School
247Sports Composite ranking: 3-Star, No. 1,027 nationally
Analysis: At 6-foot-4 and 350 pounds, Phillips is a massive force on the offensive line, and will have the size and strength to play both the tackle and guard spots. I project him to be a guard, but it could go either way. How Phillips reacts to the strength and conditioning program will play a huge role in his development at MSU.
