Philadelphia 76ers assistant coach Ime Udoka continues to be a hot commodity on the coaching market. After reports have come out that he is the front runner for the head job with the Chicago Bulls, another team is now charging hard after the Sixers top assistant.
According to The Atheltic and The Stadium’s Shams Charania, the New York Knicks plan to interview Udoka for their head coaching position. The Knicks are currently led by Mike Miller on an interim basis after they parted ways with David Fizdale early in the season.
New York would benefit from having a guy like Udoka lead the way who has experience under Gregg Popovich with the San Antonio Spurs and with Brett Brown in Philadelphia.

This is not the first time the Knicks have shown interest in a member of the Sixers as they also have shown a lot of interest in hiring away general manager Elton Brand and bring him to New York for the same position. They most likely have a better shot at Udoka than Brand at the moment. [lawrence-related id=33191,33185,33178]
