Kliff Kingsbury now the betting favorite to win Coach of the Year

After opening the season as one of the longest shots to win it at +3000, he now is the favorite to win at +425.

With an 8-1 start to the season, people view Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury differently. Many believed he was on the hot seat entering this season after a late-season collapse in 2020.

And for betting purposes, he was one of the favorites to be the first coach fired this season.

Things have changed. With the Cardinals rolling as the No. 1 team in the NFC, he has become the betting favorite to win Coach of the Year.

According to Tipico Sportsbook, he is +425 to win the award. He began the season at +3000. He was one of the longest shots to win the award.

The Cardinals are in the top five in offense and defense. His quarterback, Kyler Murray, is having an MVP-caliber season. He has far exceeded the expectations anyone had for him entering the season.

If the Cardinals keep it up, he should be a lock to win it.
