The Vikings were on the road on Sunday, but plenty of Minnesota fans made the long trip to Los Angeles.
Kirk Cousins appreciates the Week 10 crowd. The Vikings quarterback talked about the traveling fans after the win over the Chargers:
Cousins said:
“Not every team gets that and we’re grateful for it. And not only that, even when we play at home, you don’t see a lot of visitors at our home games because our Vikings fans buy up the tickets. It’s just tremendous. We’re blessed,” via Ben Goessling of the Star Tribune.
Cousins finished with 294 passing yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. Minnesota pulled off the upset to move to 4-5. The Chargers might not be known for their hostile home environment, but Los Angeles was tied for first place in the AFC West heading into the matchup.
Given their arduous schedule and inconsistent play, the Vikings have to start winning games they’re not supposed to. Minnesota beating Los Angeles is certainly promising. It sounds like the Vikings fans in attendance helped.
