Kirk Cousins ranks in top-half of QB value rankings

Much has been made about Kirk Cousins and the money he’s made throughout his career.

Much has been made about Kirk Cousins and the money he’s made throughout his career.

He signed a three-year, $84 million deal initially with the Vikings and just signed a two-year, $66 million extension.

While that is a lot of money, Cousins also had a very good year in 2019 and helped the Vikings to a big-time playoff win over the Saints.

In his quarterback value rankings over at NFL.com, Gregg Rosenthal ranked Cousins 12th. Here’s what Rosenthal wrote about Cousins:

The Vikings know what they have in Cousins and gave him a sensible two-year extension this offseason worth $66 million. He may not often be the reason the Vikes win, but he will be the reason they lose even less often.

Cousins is sandwiched between Matthew Stafford at 11 and Jimmy Garoppolo at 13.

Other quarterbacks in the NFC North include Aaron Rodgers at No. 8, Nick Foles at No. 28 and Mitchell Trubisky at No. 35. Foles and Trubisky will fight for Chicago’s QB1 spot.
