Kirk Cousins’ prime-time woes listed as Vikings biggest distraction

Bleacher Report thinks the Vikings biggest distraction is the narrative that Kirk Cousins struggles in prime time. Agree or disagree?

Kirk Cousins has been solid for the Vikings this past season, but there’s still a concern among many fans: Can he win the biggest games?

Bleacher Report thinks that’s the Vikings’ biggest distraction. Here’s what it said about the concern:

“This potential distraction isn’t just about Kirk Cousins’ inability to consistently win in prime time—though it’s worth mentioning that the Minnesota Vikings went just 1-4 in such games last season. It’s more about the perception that Cousins is a good statistical quarterback but not an elite signal-caller.

Cousins’ lack of prime-time success—those games often come against quality opponents—is [part] of this equation.”

After his game against the Saints, and his game against the Seahawks this season, Cousins showed he could be good in bigger moments. Personally, I’m not too worried. Those prime-time games will also come down to whether the defense can hold off a quality opponent, and whether the offensive line can adequately protect Cousins. It’s not just Cousins, though he is an essential part.
