Kirk Cousins moves up a spot in QB rankings

Cousins is on pace for 4,029 yards and 29 touchdowns, and if he wins one more game, that will mark a career-high.

Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins’ 2019 season continues to be one of the best of his career, and one of the best in the NFL this season.

The folks over at NFL.com have Cousins up to No. 6 in the rankings. He was at No. 7 last week.

On the season, Cousins has thrown for 3,274 yards, 24 touchdowns and just four interceptions. He’s completed 70.1 percent of his passes, matching last season’s mark. However, his yards per attempt is up to 8.4, up 1.3 from last season.

Most importantly, Cousins has the Vikings off to a 9-4 start and in a real good position to make the playoffs after finishing at 8-7-1 last season.

Cousins is on pace for 4,029 yards and 29 touchdows. Those wouldn’t be career highs, but the numbers have never been the most-important thing for Cousins. It’s been about the wins. And if Cousins gets one more win, that will mark a career high for him.

To round out the NFC North, Aaron Rodgers ranks seventh, Mitch Trubisky ranks 24th and David Blough ranks 32nd.
