What if I told you Georgia, the No. 2 team in the nation, was about to get two of its best players back after missing the first four games of the year?
That would be pretty cool, right? Especially when the Dawgs are set to take on No. 8 ranked Auburn in a few days.
On Monday, Kirby Smart provided an injury update on tight end Darnell Washington and defensive back Tykee Smith, and it was music to Georgia fans’ ears.
“Darnell and Tykee are back,” Smart said.
“They’re back in drills, they’re practicing, they’re doing everything this week full go so hopefully we have them available.”
Both players have been since August. Both players underwent foot surgeries.
Smart said both players were hopeful they’d be able to return for the Vanderbilt game, but that did not happen. That’s probably a good thing, seeing as how Georgia won that game 62-0 without them.
Darnell Washington is full go and expected to be available this Saturday.
No longer listed as day to day. 😉
Same with Tykee Smith.
