The Sacramento Kings are a team that is undergoing some big front office changes as they look to change the culture around the team. They recently hired Monte McNair to be their new general manager and now McNair is making some hirings to his staff.
Among those hires is Phil Jabour who served as the Director of Scouting for the Philadelphia 76ers. He was initially hired by the Sixers as a Director of Scouting Development in 2014 before being promoted twice to the head job for the 2019-20 season.
Jabour joined Wes Wilcox and Paul Johnson who will serve under McNair. The Kings have not made the playoffs since 2006 so they are looking to end that nasty streak fairly soon.
New Kings GM Monte McNair is reshaping his front office, hiring former Hawks GM Wes Wilcox as assistant GM, Philadelphia’s Phil Jabour as VP of Player Personnel and OKC’s Paul Johnson as Director of Basketball Operations, sources tell ESPN.

Jabour now has an opportunity to fill a big role in Sacramento to try and change the culture there. For all of Philadelphia’s shortcomings in the playoffs, they have been a successful team on the floor. Jabour played a part in all of that. [lawrence-related id=38326,38320,38317]
