The Florida Gators will travel to Nashville to take on the Vanderbilt Commodores on Saturday, Nov. 19 in the Orange and Blue’s final SEC game of the season. We now know what time that game will be played: Kickoff is officially scheduled for noon EST.
Florida is coming off a 41-24 road victory over Texas A&M, pushing their record to 5-4. While the Orange and Blue are all but eliminated from winning the SEC East, they still have a chance to secure bowl eligibility and the additional practices that come with playing in a post-season game. Of their three remaining games, only one is at home.
The most notable game remaining on the Gators’ schedule is the annual rivalry game against Florida State. This season, the game will be a special Black Friday edition of the Sunshine State Rivalry. Typically played on Saturday, the annual in-state rivalry matchup was moved to Friday at the request of the ACC, so they may have a primetime 7:30 p.m. EST kickoff.
Usually, the home team’s television deal is the one that is honored in the rivalry game, which is why the game was moved to Friday. Both the University of Florida and the SEC have announced that the game will return to Saturday in 2023.
Before the Gators take on Vanderbilt or Florida State, they must get past South Carolina this Saturday. Florida’s final home game of the season will take place this Saturday, with kickoff scheduled for 4 p.m. EST while the game will be broadcast on the SEC Network.
