The Florida Gators will host the South Carolina Gamecocks on Saturday, Nov. 12 in the Orange and Blue’s final home game of the season. We now know what time that game will be played: Kickoff is officially scheduled for 4 p.m. EST.
There are still two games to be played before Florida meets the Gamecocks in Gainesville, and lots of options are still on the table for the Gators. Sitting at 4-4, Florida could head into this matchup bowl eligible or still fighting to play in the postseason.
First up, the Gators will head to College Station to take on Texas A&M, who have lost four straight games and currently sit at 3-5. After that, they head to Nashville to play Vanderbilt. Despite their 3-5 record, this season has been a positive one for the Commodores. There has been significant improvement and they have made in-roads in combating the “bottom-dweller” reputation they have around the SEC.
After the South Carolina game, the Gators will head to Tallahassee to take on the Florida State Seminoles in a special Black Friday edition of the Sunshine State Rivalry. Typically played on Saturday, the annual in-state rivalry matchup was moved to Friday at the request of the ACC, so they may have a primetime 7:30 p.m. EST kickoff.
Usually, the home team’s television deal is the one that is honored in the rivalry game, which is why the game was moved to Friday. Both the University of Florida and the SEC have announced that the game will return to Saturday in 2023.
Before the Gators take on South Carolina, Vanderbilt, or Florida State, they must get past Texas A&M this Saturday. The game will take place at Kyle Field in College Station, Texas, with kickoff scheduled for noon EDT. The game will be broadcast on ESPN.
