As the Kansas Jayhawks and head coach Bill Self looks to build their roster, they are getting a key veteran back for next season.
Forward Kevin McCullar opted to test the NBA draft waters ahead of next season but ultimately decided to return to Lawrence for one more year. This will be his last shot at a national championship after losing in the Sweet 16 against Duke with Texas Tech in 2022 and getting knocked out in round 2 last season with Kansas.
McCullar averaged 8.7 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game through three seasons with the Red Raiders. In his first year with the Jayhawks, the Tech transfer averaged 10.7 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 2.0 steals per game. He is a key defender and facilitator on the offensive side.

McCullar will be part of a team that added top big man transfer Hunter Dickenson from Michigan, Nicolas Timberlake from Towson, Arteri Morris from Texas, and Parker Braun from Santa Clara.
The Jayhawks are likely to be among the favorites to win the Big 12 and make another national championship run next season.
