Kevin Durant is just as good at Twitter as he is at basketball and it’s just so unfair for a person to be so talented.
Durant has taken a lot of flack from people who thought he should’ve gone to the New York Knicks instead of the Brooklyn Nets in free agency. That was the prevailing sentiment in the rumor mill last season and it turns out it was wrong.
He’s been asked about not joining the Knicks a ton already this season, to which his basic response has generally been that they aren’t cool enough anymore.
Knicks fans, of course, aren’t taking kindly to that and are coming at Durant. One of which, it seems, is rapper Fat Joe. In an interview with Sports Illustrated, Joe talked about Durant and Kyrie Irving’s decision to go to the Nets.
“They ain’t want that New York Knick pressure. They didn’t want that media attention…They didn’t want that so they said, alright, we want New York, but let’s do the lesser of the drama.”
To which Durant responded:
Oh that’s just Joey crack trying to sell that album, go cop that family ties on December 6

Man, that’s good tweeting. The best part about it is he’s not lying, either. Fat Joe’s is on a press run for his album and, somehow, Durant and Irving made their way into the conversation.
Durant has officially gotten too good at Twitter. It’s been a long time coming, too. Just think — three years ago we were roasting him for having 12,464 burner accounts. Now he’s roasting us all one tweet at a time. Be careful on these Internet streets. It’s dangerous out here.
