Kevin Durant wowing Nets teammates throughout rehab

Kevin Durant isn’t ready to play in games yet, but whenever a video of his rehab process pops up, he has the basketball world’s attention.

Kevin Durant is still limited with the work he can do, given he hasn’t been cleared to play in games yet — and isn’t expected to in 2019-20. But, it seems the Brooklyn Nets superstar has progressed well, based on the few videos of his rehab that have surfaced as well as Kenny Atkinson’s updates on the matter.

In the two latest videos, Durant was seen running. The forward simulated a fastbreak and pulled up for a mid-range jumper in the most recent of the two.

Every time this happens, Durant catches the basketball world’s attention. But these are only glimpses of what he does.

Durant’s teammates see much more of his routine. During an appearance on Uninterrupted‘s “R2C2” podcast, DeAndre Jordan explained what it’s like watching Durant go to work:

We out there sitting, watching him workout and I’m like, ‘Damn, man. Damn’ … We in amazement. Like, Wilson Chandler was talking the other day, he was like, ‘Man, that [expletive] is unfair.’ He was like, ‘[Durant is] making these shots [that] we been working all year to make.’ He’s just a freak man. And I don’t think he realizes that, you know, the … just the energy that he gets, or we get from seeing him working. And I think it’s going to be even more when it’s a full-on practice with him. And then, this summer when we’re all working out together and games. It’s going to be huge, man.

Sure sounds like the Nets expect to be a different team when Durant is finally cleared to play.
