Not that there was ever any doubt, but Kevin Durant is a surefire lock for the 2021 NBA All-Star Game. He’s going toe-to-toe with LeBron James’ as the league’s leading fan vote-getter and easily leading the Eastern Conference. Also, he’ll almost certainly be joined by Kyrie Irving and James Harden, who only trail Washington’s Bradley Beal fan vote among Eastern Conference guards.
But more than a few players have expressed they’re not keen on the idea of having an All-Star Game this year. Though, Portland’s Damian Lillard recently expressed he’s fine with a game being played this year — as much as he also wouldn’t mind the league not hosting the event.
With his return to the Nets on Friday after yet another seven-day quarantine, Durant was finally able to weigh in on the matter.
“It is what it is. We have no control over it,” the Brooklyn forward said. “I don’t care either way.”

Durant gets back to game action on Saturday, when the Nets visit the Golden State Warriors.
