Kevin Durant was more than pleased with Caris LeVert’s big game vs. Celtics

Caris LeVert had himself a big night on Tuesday, and it turns out one of the injured Brooklyn Nets superstars was watching.

Caris LeVert’s performance against the Boston Celtics was unlike any that NBA fans have since the start of the 21st century.

That’s no exaggeration.

After scoring 14 points through the first three quarters of the Brooklyn Nets’ game in Boston, LeVert scored 26 points in the fourth quarter to force overtime. Then he scored 11 points in the extra period of play.

In the last 20 years, no player has ever 37 points between the fourth quarter and an overtime period, combined.

LeVert’s explosion was jaw-dropping, to say the least, and was the driving force behind the Nets’ snapping their four-game losing streak with a 129-120 win over Kyrie Irving’s former team.

Like everyone else, Kevin Durant was impressed. He made sure to let everyone know on Twitter after Brooklyn’s win:

Prior to Tuesday’s game, Kenny Atkinson was asked about Durant’s whereabouts. The Nets head coach would not confirm or deny the forward wasn’t in Boston, but a recent report indicated Durant would not be at the game.
