Kevin Durant wants to be excluded from GOAT conversation: Michael Jordan is ‘God level’

Most athletes can only dream of being compared to Michael Jordan, yet Kevin Durant isn’t interested in hearing his name in that debate.

Even though he seems to butt heads with Kevin Durant frequently these days — mainly because of what he says about Kyrie Irving — Kendrick Perkins always praises the Brooklyn Nets superstar forward for what he can do on the floor.

During a recent appearance on ESPN’s First Take, Perkins explained why he thinks Durant is the greatest scorer in the history of the NBA:

KD is one of the most efficient scorers that we ever saw. Michael Jordan never finished in the 90/50/40 club. … By the eye test, Max [Kellerman] — since you [are] just a numbers guy — by the eye test, KD is the best scorer that I’ve ever seen. He has zero flaws to his game.

There was more to the debate — which shockingly went nowhere — but that was the gist of Perkins’ argument.

Durant caught wind of the discussion, and he pulled his from the conversation, tweeting:

Mj is one of one, God level, unmatched, unparalled, a pure master at this [expletive]. I’m still watching his games to learn. Leave me out of it please[.]
