Kevin Durant takes to Twitter after NBA suspends season

The Brooklyn Nets were supposed to play the Golden State Warriors without fans at Chase Center. Now, no NBA games are being played.

Although he wasn’t going to play — despite how smooth he may have looked in his recent video where he scrimmaged some of his Nets teammates — Thursday was supposed to be the first time Golden State Warriors fans would get the chance to see Kevin Durant in person since he left for Brooklyn.

Then after San Francisco’s mayor announced “the Health Officer of San Francisco is issuing an order prohibiting all large group events of 1,000 or more persons, effective immediately,” that chance was taken away from Golden State fans.

Now Warriors fans won’t even get the chance to see their team play Durant’s new team with the league suspending play until further notice following the announcement that a Utah Jazz player has preliminarily tested positive for COVID-19.

In the course of all the chaos that ensued following the new, NBA players chimed in on Twitter.

Orlando’s Evan Fournier let everyone know that Rudy Gobert — the player who reportedly tested positive for COVID-19 — was doing well.

Free agent Isaiah Thomas tried to have a little fun with the situation.

Meanwhile, Durant pretty much summed up how everyone else was feeling:
