Kevin Durant still uses his burner accounts to clap back on Twitter

Burners are fine but give us more KD please

Kevin Durant is one of the greatest basketball players of all time, but he’s also one of the greatest tweeters we’ve ever seen, too.

His Twitter efficiency rating is off the charts. He dunks on basketball Twitter nerds that show him charts and Twitter trolls at rates we’ve never seen before from a Finals MVP. For that, Durant is appreciated.

What we shouldn’t appreciate are his burner accounts. Durant got caught using a burner account to respond to trolls after he won his first championship with the Warriors back in 2017.

Turns out he still uses his burner accounts to respond to folks talking trash about him. He told us so in an appearance on Matt Barnes’ and Stephen Jackson’s “All the Smoke” podcast.

“With certain people I’m going to come at them on my regular account, but if I’m trying to do my thing, dip in, I got the burners. I just slipped up that one time. You know why I slipped up that one time.”

Gotta say, fam. I do appreciate the dedication Durant has here to the burner.

But I’m also with Matt Barnes here. Kevin Durant is… well… Kevin Durant. The burns always hit harder when we know it’s him there and not @iheartKD2738539. The effect lasts longer.

I mean, there are STILL people, to this day, asking “who the BLANK wants to look at graphs while having a hoops convo” because, bruh, WHO WANTS TO LOOK AT GRAPHS WHILE HAVING A HOOPS CONVO!?

He’s right. He usually is. But when he’s on the burner we never really know that’s the case.

Burners are cool or whatever, but nah, we need more KD.
